Funky Circle Card

Papercraft

< 1 hour

Beginner

Materials:

  • Hotfix Lace in Black & Red
  • White Blank Card Base for card layer
  • Extra white Card
  • Circle dies
  • Sentiment/Ink pads/ribbon bow
  • Iron of choice, I used the Stix2 Mixed Media Iron (on Linen Setting)
  • Brown Paper

Instructions

  1. Die cut or cut out the circles for the card from the black and the red Hotfix Lace, 4 black circles and 3 red circles. Ink the edges of the card layer with the red ink pad. You may find that it is easier to die cut it with the adhesive side pointing outwards.

  2. Peel away the backs of all the circles.

  3. Position the circles on the card layer as per the picture.

  4. Run the pre-heated iron a couple of times over the top of the circles on the card layer, under the brown paper, this will melt the adhesive on the lace so it will stick to the card. I pre-heated the iron to the cool Linen setting.

  5. Remove the brown paper and your design will be fixed to the card then attached the card layer to the front of the blank card base.

  6. Add the sentiment in the middle of the card and add the ribbon bow

Top Tips

You will need to use brown paper to protect the fabric of the lace and the item you are ironing.

Do not use wax paper as the wax will melt and nothing will stick then

Do not iron on to a cutting matt, always use something heat resistant under the item

Remember Irons are hot, safety first.
