How to Hot Foil a Stamp onto a Card - Intermediate

This project takes you step-by-step how to hot foil a stamp onto a card using the Go Press and Foil Machine – Version 2.

Papercraft

< 1 hour

Intermediate

You will need:

  • Go Press and Foil Machine - Version 2
  • A6 Card Blank – White
  • Happy Anniversary Hot Foil Stamp
  • Bohemian Bouquet 12 x 12 Paper Pad (pink/green floral print)
  • Camden Cottage Roses
  • White Cardstockv
  • Green Cardstock
  • Go Press & Foil Me 5 Pack (Pink Pearlescent Foil)
  • 3mm Pearls – Emerald Green
  • 2mm Gemstones – Pink Lace
  • Ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Take a white A6 card to use as your card base.

  2. Cut down a piece of the pink/green floral print patterned paper from the 12 x 12 paper pad, slightly smaller than the card base. Adhere to green cardstock then adhere to the card base.

  3. Heat foil the “Happy Anniversary” hot foil stamp onto white cardstock using the pink pearlescent foil. Trim down and adhere to green cardstock. Adhere to the card base using foam tape/squares. Do not throw away the scrap piece of foil – you will need this later on.

  4. Add some ribbon/bow and an English Rose below the sentiment. Adhere 2mm pink gemstones to the leaf stems on the patterned paper, as shown. Adhere 3mm pearls to each corner of the sentiment.

  5. Add some glue to the rose and allow to partially dry. It should be tacky to the touch. Take the scrap piece of foil and randomly press onto the rose. This will give you a distressed look as well as add some colour to the flower.
