Just A Little Note to Say

Kids Crafts

1-2 hours

Intermediate

Ingredients:

  • Rare Earth Stamping Card – A4
  • Rare Earth Brayer
  • Rare Earth Make Your Own Ink Pads – Persimmon, Peach, Citrus Green
  • Rare Earth Pitch Black Ink
  • A6 Background Stamps – Harlequin and Dots
  • Rare Earth Words & Sentiment Stamps
  • Fleur Forming Kit – Peony
  • Black Card

Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of Stamping Card to 18.5cm x 12.5cm.

  2. Use a brayer to collect Persimmon and Peach inks onto the roller, apply to the stamping card, repeat until you are happy with the effect.

  3. Use the brayer again, this time to collect Citrus Green ink onto your roller. Lightly apply this ink to one side of the card.

  4. Holding the A6 Dots stamp in your hand, use your fingers to support part of the stamp, press into the Citrus Green ink, stamp this onto your card, repeating until you are happy with the effect; by second generation stamping, you will achieve a nice distressed look to your design.

  5. Place your A6 Harlequin stamp onto an acrylic block and ink just the end part of the stamp with Pitch Black Ink. Stamp this off the edge of your inky background, as shown. You can now mat this background onto black card.

  6. Stamp the words using Pitch Black ink onto Stamping Card, cut to 1.5cm x 10.5cm and mat onto black card. Place this onto your background using 3d foam.

  7. Using another piece of Stamping Card, lightly brayer with the same colour inks, cut out 9 Peony flowers that are all the same size. Assemble these into three paper roses and then pop onto your card, as shown.
