You Will Need:

  • Paper Pad: Time Machine
  • Black Card
  • Construction Board
  • Gold and Silver Acrylic Paint
  • Chunky Black, Gold, Silver and Copper Embossing Powders
  • Rare Earth Clear Glass Ink Pad
  • Heat Gun
  • PVA Glue
  • Silver Marker Pen
  • Black Chisel End Pen
  • ScanNCut or Large Letter Stencil
  • Craft Knife and Long Metal Ruler
  • Cutting Mat

Instructions:

  1. Cut the word “Strength” measuring 5” (128mm) high from a piece of thick black card measuring 23” x 9 ½” (585 x 240mm).

  2. Edge each letter aperture with a silver metallic marker to emphasise each letter.

  3. Use the acrylic paint and splatter the backgrounds of the “STRENGTH” section.

  4. Back each letter with a 6” x 3” (150mm x 75mm) strip of patterned paper.

  5. Cut a frame from the construction board 21.35” x 8.53” and 23.60” x 10.53” (536 x 218mm and 600 x 268mm). Cut the same frame from the black card and layer on top of the construction board frame. Leave to dry thoroughly.

  6. Use the Rare Earth Clear Glass Ink Pad and ink up the frame. It is easier to do this a bit at a time. Mix up your chunky embossing powders and pour over the frame. Use your heat gun to melt the powders.

  7. Add the frame to the outer edge of your word layer.

  8. Cut the words “YOU ARE MY” and “AND MY INSPIRATION” from the patterned papers so each letter measures 1 ¼” (30mm) high. Edge each letter using the black chisel edge pen.

  9. Glue the words to the top and bottom of your word section as shown in the photo.
