To start, select an 8” x 8” card blank and set it aside. I am using a plain white card blank, but you can use any colour you like
Now take a sheet of plain or printed brown card and cut it down so it is slightly smaller than your 8” x 8” card blank. Then take a sheet of plain or printed gold card and cut it down so it is slightly smaller than your brown card.
Now matt and layer your gold card over your brown card. Adhere foam tape to the back of the brown card, and then attach it to the front of your card blank.
Next, take the Venice-themed page from the Evgeny Lushpin Paper Pad, and cut the border out so that it is ready for individual use. Using a double-sided tape pen, adhere this border vertically along the folded side of your card-front, a few centimetres in from the edge.
Now trim the main image from the same Venice-themed page, and, using the same type of gold and brown card from Steps 3 and 4, cut out 2 corresponding squares which you can use to matt and layer this image upon, adhering it using your tape pen.
Take this layered design and use foam tape to attach it to the centre of your card-front.
Next, cut out the corresponding sentiment from the same page, and cut out another slightly larger rectangle from the brown card you have been using to matt and layer with. Attach the sentiment centrally to this rectangle of brown card so that it adds a narrow border to your sentiment, then attach this to your card-front at a slight angle below the main image, using Pinflair glue.
Using the vine die from the Country Garden Die Set, cut out 6 vine pieces. You can cut these out of white card and colour them in using inks or paints, or you can simply cut them out of the coloured cardstock of your choice.
Next, use these die-cuts to add a dimensional border to your card-front, by carefully placing them around the central image using Pinflair glue. You can delicately shape these die-cuts using craft scissors to create smaller and longer vines, to suit your placement.
